The injuries were a big loss for us, no doubt about it. Other players are going to have to step up. The big part of advancing in the state tournament is staying healthy, so it's going to be a good test for us.

Grant's a tough place to play. I thought they shot the ball really well in the first quarter, but from the second quarter on, we did a much better job defensively.

I couldn't get Stacy out of there because she wanted to play so badly.

In the first half, Sarah played very much like the 15-year-old she is ? she was flailing around a little bit. In the second half, she played much more under control, moved her feet and started to dominate the game.

I'm proud of the way my team gave it's all on the court and never gave up. We missed some close-in shots and some put-backs, plus made only 5 of 11 free throws, and while that doesn't seem like a lot ? in a three-point game against a quality team, it added up.

Every time they needed a rebound, she seemed to get it.

You have to stay focused when you play against a team like Buffalo Grove, and we had a couple of lapses.

We've been tested all year. We just have to find ways to win these kinds of games.

This team has worn the bull's-eye on its back all season and handled it well. We played a tough schedule, but the girls responded to every challenge. (Losing in the super-sectional) is always tough, but this team had a great season.

We wanted to put a lot of pressure on the ball and during the run, we did a good job of doing that.
